Original Herb Blend - Herb Tea

ingredients: masai, rosehips, chamomile, cinnamon, lemongrass, peppermint, papaya, anise, orange peel, ginger, artificial and natural flavors

subjective analysis:
In my opinion, tea is about infusing *natural* essences into water to make a tasty drink; hence it should not surprise you to know that I think artificial flavors go against and ruin the whole point of tea. If I wanted artificial flavors I could go drink a soda (and don't get me wrong, I love ginger ale from time to time) or grab a "Sobe" or an "Arizona" or whatever. So guess what - this tea has artificial flavors in it! In fact, that's why I neglected to put a picture of the teabag's wrapper at the top of this page, because in my view no tea that has artificial flavors in it is worth that trouble. *L* Still, I was prepared to give this tea a good rating if it tasted alright, but it doesn't. It's very fragrant and spicy and sweet, but because of the artificial flavors, it's *too* spicy and *sickeningly* sweet. All you can really taste in this tea is cinnamon and sugar - in fact, this tea tastes just like those hard red cinnamon candies, presented in liquid form (of course, if you want a tea that tastes like that, then by all means have some, but don't give me any!). Frankly I was surprised that "Good Earth" didn't just go all the way and add in artificial red food coloring as well. Rating: a miss
