Triple Ginseng - Herbal Tea

Triple Ginseng - Herbal Tea

ingredients: Eleuthero ginseng root, Chinese panax ginseng root, American panax ginseng root

subjective analysis:
This tea is REALLY weak - I know that herbal teas are a lighter bunch in general, and I do love light/subtle teas, but this had to be steeped for at least twenty minutes before the flavor developed to the point of any real noticeability. I suppose I've been spoiled, since I've been drinking really good, potent Korean ginseng teas since I was little, and since my mother would always make this great soup with real ginseng root (where you boil a chicken with the ginseng, preferably the more expensive and potent red ginseng instead of the white, and you skim off every iota of fat till you're left with a really clean and yummy broth tasting of chicken and ginseng), but this Stash Tea imitation just isn't worth it. It does provide you with 1,600 milligrams of ginseng per cup, though, so if you want to drink it as a ginseng supplement, go right ahead (ginseng enhances body functions, immunity, and peformance under stress). If you want actual taste as well as supplementation, however, try to find a good ginseng tea at an Asian grocery store. Rating: a miss
