why I like him:
The main reason I love Yamadera's voice is cause he is a superb comic actor, as anyone who has heard him in Yousei Hime Ren as Gou or in Ranma as Ryouga can attest. This doesn't mean he can't do serious roles, though - his deep/rough voice has a chameleon-like ability to switch from seriousness to hilarity and back again, and his stone-serious portrayal of Kagetsu in Shamanic Princess is a great example of that. All in all, I respect his work as a seiyuu, and the fact that I love most of the characters I've seen him play doesn't hurt, either. *g*
