why I like him:
When I first heard Yamaguchi Kappei as Tenma in Greenwood, I wasn't that impressed. Tenma's voice was cute, but he was one of those very one-dimensional minor characters, and therefore I didn't get to hear much in the way of actual acting. When I heard Yamaguchi do Ranma's voice (he used a deeper, more "manly"/non-cute voice for Ranma, totally unlike Tenma's), I was impressed by his acting, if not by the series itself or the character he was playing. However, I then heard Yamaguchi play Kasama Haruhiko in Please Save My Earth and that did it for me. Wow. *cough* ^^; Not only was/is Haruhiko one of my all-time most favorite anime characters, but he had that adorable tenor voice similar to Tenma's, and Yamaguchi's acting in Haru-chan's dramatic scenes was amazing. I have to admit that Yamaguchi is a seiyuu whom I like for his acting in one role alone.
