As I mentioned on the previous page, all .wav files at Echoes are created by myself, Ganymede (James Sanghyun Han), and you MUST e-mail me and ASK MY PERMISSION first before using any on your own websites or sound archives. I will then reply and tell you exactly what .wavs you may take and what .wavs you may not (98% are take-able). :)

P.S. If you have trouble downloading the larger .wav's even after repeated tries or if they do not play properly on your computer, let me know.

And now, on with the sounds! Using basic in/out cables, these sounds were recorded from the VCR onto a stereo and then onto my computer. They were transferred to my computer at the second highest quality on Macintosh's SimpleSound program, trimmed and edited using MoviePlayer, and then converted into .wav files using SoundApp. Unfortunately you will hear a buzzing noise in some of the quieter sound files depending on what speakers or headphones you are using, and since I have no compression capabilities these files are rather large in size, even the files that are only a few seconds long. For that I apologize, but the sound quality is worth it, and I do not have a program that can compress or "clean" the .wav files for me. If you know how I can make these files a lot smaller without reducing quality, do let me know.

WARNING - There are many spoilers here translating and explaining what is going on in the sounds.

P.S. Being an obsessive fan of Mitsuru and Shinobu, I went through all of Episode 1 and every time Shinobu and Mitsuru opened their mouths, I recorded what they said. :P Therefore, I am missing NO Mitsuru and Shinobu sounds from Episode 1 and I have recorded ALL their words. :P

"Shitsureshimasu." - 92K
The entrance of Our Pair. Mitsuru says, "shitsureshimasu" - which means, "excuse us." (By the way, I'm going by the "official" subtitled translations here.)

"Yoroshiku." - 252K
The school principal introduces "Tezuka Shinobu, student council president," and "Ikeda Mitsuru, dorm president." Mitsuru greets Kazuya and then offers to show Kazuya around the dorm.

"Nani ka ita?" 256K
Mitsuru talks to Kazuya, saying it's too bad that Kazuya is starting school late, and he asks Kazuya if he was sick. Kazuya says, "Something like that..." and Mitsuru says that he's glad that Kazuya is all better.

"Guriin Uddo?" o_o - 737K
Mitsuru introduces Kazuya to Ryokurin Ryou, which they call Greenwood. When Kazuya questions this, Shinobu points out that it's easier to pronounce. Mitsuru then lets Kazuya in and explains that school clubs aren't allowed to do direct recruitment in the dorms - the dorms, though part of the school, are independently run, thus protecting the private lives of the students.

Shinobu tells Kazuya not to be scared (by Bonda, the freaky Christian cult guy), and Mitsuru shouts through the door of room 210, saying that the roommate has arrived.

"Kisaragi Shun-kun da yo." - 211K
Mitsuru asks Kazuya what's wrong, and when Kazuya says there's a girl in his room, Mitsuru introduces Kazuya to Shun. ^.^

This is a recording of the entire scene where Shinobu and Mitsuru lay the groundworks of their trap for Kazuya, where they fabricate that big long story as to why Shun is a girl in a boys' school, how no one is supposed to know that Shun is a girl, et cetera.

"...sono toki ga..." - 393K
Mitsuru and Shinobu reappear in the doorway and tell Kazuya that if he ever takes advantage of the "girl" Shun, then he'd "be in serious trouble." Then the door slams shut. ^^;;;

"Yo, Hasukawa! Ohai yo." - 197K - EDITED
At breakfast, Mitsuru says good morning to Kazuya and then offers him help in catching up on the work he has missed. I edited out Kazuya's lines from this .wav file.

Shinobu praises Kazuya for being a gentleman to Shun and Mitsuru asks if Kazuya wants to be tutored the next day.

Mitsuru comments that Kazuya realized that Shun is a boy on the afternoon of the third day since he came to Ryokuto, and Shinobu says that the odds of it taking so long were "Eighteen to one... We'll make a killing." Kazuya then comes in and Mitsuru explains their prank to Kazuya. After the explanation, Kazuya punches Mitsuru below the eye (causing Mitsuru to fall on his butt and the money in his hand to fly everywhere) and runs out. Shinobu says: "I told you he wasn't the type who could take jokes well," to which Mitsuru says, "Good punch. I like him." In the manga, Shinobu then comments that he never knew Mitsuru was a masochist, ^_^ but here in the anime, Mitsuru just laughs. -_-

Mitsuru tutors Kazuya - 783K
When Kazuya comments that he never asked for help, Mitsuru reminds him that it was his help that ensured Kazuya's continued academic successes. Shinobu then teases Kazuya by telling Mitsuru to go easy on the delicate boy who got an ulcer from exam stress, and when Kazuya says that it wasn't due to exams, Mitsuru goes, "Oh?"

Kazuya's face drops when Mitsuru greets him and sits next to him, and Mitsuru tells him not to look so upset. They proceed to argue a bit, and Mitsuru then steals a piece of Kazuya's food, which makes Shun comment that Mitsuru eats a lot. Mitsuru then states that he needs high energy to maintain his face, ^.^ to which Kazuya says, "Damn." -_- Mitsuru then asks Kazuya about his summer plans.

Shinobu says that he and Mitsuru have their reasons for staying in the dorms during summer, and Mitsuru says, "It isn't too bad for us, isn't it, Shinobu? I was hoping we could finally be alone together." Shinobu pauses before replying: "You'd better stop. You can see the whites of Hasukawa's eyes." Mitsuru: "The guy has no sense of humor."

Mitsuru asks Kazuya (who is lying on the floor) to come join him and Shinobu in the baths (how kinky :P), and when Kazuya refuses on the grounds that they were probably planning some trick, Mitsuru puts his foot down on Kazuya's stomach, asking: "Is THIS where they operated on you?" -_-

Shinobu asks Kazuya why he didn't go home for the summer, and after Kazuya explains Mitsuru and Shinobu criticize his reasons. Kazuya then says that he's not like Mitsuru and Shinobu (whatever THAT means ^.^), and Mitsuru says: "Oh, you're one of those?" Shinobu: "Falling for big brother's wife, how cliché." Kazuya: "Well, why are you still here? Mitsuru-sempai, where are you from?" Mitsuru: "Not far. Uguisudani." Kazuya then rants about how Mitsuru shouldn't be in the dorms cause he lives so close by and he just causes trouble, and Mitsuru pours water on Kazuya in reply. ^^

Shinobu tells the dorm lady that he can fill in for her; he then walks past Kazuya and into the P.A. room, and announces Sumire's visit to Kazuya over the loud P.A. system even though Kazuya was right there. When Kazuya complains, Shinobu goes, "Oh, Hasukawa, there you are!"

Shinobu, Mitsuru, and Kazuya are walking down a path and Kazuya and Mitsuru start arguing. A bunch of girls then run up, pat Kazuya on various places on his body, o.O and run off. Shinobu comments that they do that from time to time, and Mitsuru explains that the girls are from a school close by who like to make fun of the guys at Ryokuto. Mitsuru then asks Kazuya what's wrong and Kazuya's nose starts bleeding. -.-;;;

"Tene wakede..." - 472K
Shinobu comments on Sumire's beauty, and Tochizawa comments that he wishes he had seen her, to which Shun says: "Me too!" O_o;;; Mitsuru then comments that it's a pity that a beautiful woman like Sumire is wasted on Kazuhiro (in reference to the rumors that Kazuhiro is gay) and he puts a hand on Kazuya's shoulder and says, "Don't you think so?" Kazuya says that he could care less, since it's not like Kazuhiro is his brother or anything, which causes Mitsuru go "o_o Ara..." cause he realizes then that Kazuhiro and Kazuya are brothers. o.O

Kazuhiro asks Mitsuru how his supposed sickness is doing, and then they talk about Kazuya. When Kazuhiro says his brother is adorable, Mitsuru comments that he's lucky he married a normal girl. Kazuhiro says, "Of course I did," and then Mitsuru asks if he knows what happened when Sumire visited Kazuya during summer break.

winter break discussion - 822K
Mitsuru tries to convince Kazuya that he should go home for winter break, but Kazuya insists on staying (and as usual they argue somewhat :P). Shun then mentions that NO ONE is allowed to stay in the dorms during winter break, and Shinobu says that it's so that the staff can have a holiday. While Kazuya is spazzing, Mitsuru and Shun try to steal food from Kazuya's tray, but it's Shinobu who rather unexpectedly snags a bite. ^.~

Sumire's note - 737K
Mitsuru gives Kazuya a package from Sumire that Kazuhiro sent over and he tries to convince Kazuya to go home for winter break as he opens the gift; the gift turns out to be a coat/robe for wearing during cold nights, and Kazuya finds a note from Sumire with it. Then, Mitsuru, Shun, and Shinobu discuss the note.

Mitsuru: "Hasukawa's all screwed up?" Shun: "Mmm, since yesterday. He just realized the trouble he's in." Shinobu: "Let me see." Shinobu: *listens to Kazuya babble to himself* Shinobu: "I see." -_-

Shinobu and Mitsuru discuss Kazuya's mental conflict/anguish, and when Shinobu asks, "How long is this going to last?" Mitsuru replies with: "He should be fine soon!" Shinobu then goes on to say, "No, I was talking about you," to which Mitsuru lets out a surprised "Eh?"

A favorite for yaoi fans. :p Mitsuru walks in and shuts the door, and Shinobu is sitting down at the floor table reading. Mitsuru says: "O, same!" ("Brr, cold!" ^^) and Shinobu says, "That was quick. No business to do next door?" Mitsuru picks up a book from the table and sits on the bed, saying: "No, it's all settled." He looks up from the book and stares at Shinobu. After a long pause Mitsuru says: "Will you wipe that grin off your face?" and throws a box of kleenexes at Shinobu. It hits his head and falls to the ground. ^^ Shinobu pauses for a long moment, turns to Mitsuru, and says: "Mitsuru, suki da ze." Now, what Shinobu said can mean either "I love you" or "I like you," so think what you wish. :P
