As I mentioned on the previous page, all .wav files at Echoes are created by myself, Ganymede (James Sanghyun Han), and you MUST e-mail me and ASK MY PERMISSION first before using any on your own websites or sound archives. I will then reply and tell you exactly what .wavs you may take and what .wavs you may not (98% are take-able). :)

P.S. If you have trouble downloading the larger .wav's even after repeated tries or if they do not play properly on your computer, let me know.

And now, on with the sounds! Using basic in/out cables, these sounds were recorded from the VCR onto a stereo and then onto my computer. They were transferred to my computer at the second highest quality on Macintosh's SimpleSound program, trimmed and edited using MoviePlayer, and then converted into .wav files using SoundApp. Unfortunately you will hear a buzzing noise in some of the quieter sound files depending on what speakers or headphones you are using, and since I have no compression capabilities these files are rather large in size, even the files that are only a few seconds long. For that I apologize, but the sound quality is worth it, and I do not have a program that can compress or "clean" the .wav files for me. If you know how I can make these files a lot smaller without reducing quality, do let me know.

WARNING - There are many spoilers here translating and explaining what is going on in the sounds.

P.S. Being an obsessive fan of Mitsuru and Shinobu, I went through all of Episode 2 and every time Shinobu and Mitsuru opened their mouths, I recorded what they said. :P Therefore, I am missing NO Mitsuru and Shinobu sounds from Episode 2 and I have recorded ALL their words. :P

"Sou da yo, Mitsuru-senpai!" - 403K
Kazuya tells Shinobu to be careful, to which Mitsuru comments that it's Shinobu, and that he can deal with it. Mitsuru also mentions that he doesn't want to lose his clothes again, to which Shinobu comments, "But that's what all the viewers want to see." Shun agrees, and Mitsuru gets angry. :p

"Sangatsu umare A gata..." - 825K
This actually isn't a sound file of Mitsuru or Shinobu's voices. It's a sound file of Shun reading Nagisa's profile on Mitsuru, which is why I put this sound file here anyway. Since I put all of Nagisa's information into my character profile of Mitsuru, I won't bother to translate this sound. :p

"Kugatsu umare AB gata..." - 743K
Mitsuru makes a noise of assent, saying that Nagisa's profile of him was about right. Shinobu then asks for "the next one," and Mitsuru reads Nagisa's profile on Shun - which states, among other things, that Shun is a September-born Libran with AB type blood, and that he has two younger sisters, Reina and Yui. Shun objects, saying that Reina is his brother. ^.^;

Nagisa and Shinobu's childhood - 1.23MB
Yes, this .wav file includes the entire flashback to Nagisa's childhood. When Chibi-Nagisa :p tries to push Chibi-Shinobu into a koi pond, she ends up getting tripped by him instead and falls in, causing Shinobu to comment: "The water's still cold, eh, Sis?" Nagisa begins to yell at him, but their father comes out and tells her not to pick on her younger brother. Nagisa tearfully claims that she was the one who got picked on first. :p The scene changes, and Nagisa is telling Shinobu to apologize or she'll keep the game she's holding. Shinobu merely walks past and says that she can have it, and she throws the game on the ground in frustration. Their father comes out again to scold her for wasting things, and this time he tells her to act more like Shinobu.

Shinobu warns Nagisa that if she attempts to kidnap Mitsuru again he'll show her no mercy. Shun then pops up and says that that whole story happened in volume two of the manga. ^^;;;

"Hai, Ikeda desu kedo..." - 657K
Mitsuru answers the phone to be greeted by Nagisa's stooge, who is masquerading as "Nasu from Shiroizumi High School." He says that he's calling because his sister Yukie really wanted to talk Mitsuru, and he begins talking in this girly voice and calls himself "Yukie." o_o (And if you didn't know, Nasu Yukie is the name of the woman who created Greenwood. :p)

"Hitojiji? Dare no koto?" - 44K

Shinobu is walking down the street when he hears a pay phone ring, and when he picks it up he's greeted by Nagisa. The two of them have a verbal sparring match, and it's quite amusing to hear Shinobu goading and angering his sister. I'm NOT going to retell everything that goes on in this .wav as it is FAR too long a scene for me to do that. Suffice to say that while Nagisa is talking to Shinobu, "Yukie" is still talking to Mitsuru, and when Nagisa hangs up, Shinobu makes a calculated guess and calls the dormitory phone from his pay phone. As he guessed, Mitsuru had just hung up the dorm phone, and he picks it up again when it rings. Shinobu tells Mitsuru to go to the ninth floor of the Flower Residences and then hangs up. ^^;

"Flower Residences?" - 411K
Mitsuru returns to his room wondering where Shinobu had called him from, and he starts when he sees the window open and Shinobu's indoor slippers under the window. Mitsuru can see the Flower Residences from his window, and he decides to check it out.

A short .wav file of Shinobu exhaling while he smokes a cigarette. (That is the one thing I do NOT like about Shinobu in the OAV episodes. I'm sure Mitsuru could cure him though. *har har* :p)

"A- Anta wa!" - 709K
Mitsuru runs into Nagisa's stooge B and the two of them get into a rather short fight; Mitsuru wins, of course, :p and has B sitting on the pavement in no time. Mitsuru then throws the lemon pie that B was carrying into B's face, and comments that NOW he understands what's going on. He starts running toward the Flower Residences, leaving B sitting there and sniffling over his lemon pie.

"Sorosoro ii ka na." - 384K
Shinobu notices confetti with words on them drifting down around him - some of the confetti say "Shinobu" while the rest say "die." This is something of a pun in Japanese, as the character for "Shinobu" and the character for "die" are rather similar. At any rate, this manages to get Shinobu so mad that he crushes the can he was drinking out of with one hand - which instantly causes him to smile. o_o He then comments that it's about time, and walks off. (Note: The drink cans used in Japan are much thicker then the flimsy ones we use here in the U.S. - they are hard to crush even with two hands, and Shinobu manages it with one. :p)

"Mitsuru-senpai!" - 769K
Nagisa calls Shinobu again, and tells him to come to the Flower Residences. The scene changes to the Residences, where Kazuya is fighting with stooge C, and as the stooge is about to slam into the elevator doors, they slide open, causing him to stumble in and be knocked out by Mitsuru, who was inside the elevator. He and Kazuya notice each other with surprise, and then Shun appears at the top of the stairs.

"Mm hm hm hm hm... AHH HA HA HA HA HA!!! Ahh ha ha ha ha..." - 476K
Nagisa tells Shinobu over the phone to prostrate himself (no, it's not what you think, it's pros-TRATE :p). Shinobu then asks if he can give some advice first, but Nagisa tells him to get on with it and hangs up. Then her laughter can be heard for miles... :p

Reina, who's naked at the moment, o_O says that "the scary lady" made him follow her, and Mitsuru says to A: "Another kidnapping?" A doesn't hear him though, and merely points to Reina, saying, "Is that a boy?" O_o

"Boku no chukoku wo kite hoshi dake desu." - 467K
Nagisa, who is getting angrier and angrier, threatens to Shinobu over the phone that she'll ruin "that kid's" face. Shinobu says calmly that he only wants her to listen to his advice, to which she says that she doesn't need any from him. He tells her anyway to take a good look at her situation, which causes her to start in surprise.

"AUGH!!!" o.o;;; - 21K

"Tada no yasumono no omocha desu." - 1.31MB
Shinobu comes out of the elevator with a gun of his own, and backs Nagisa up against a wall. He comments to her that he came as she requested, and reminds her that he said he'd show no mercy if she did this kind of thing again. He then goes on to say that his gun isn't like her well-made, expensive toy, and fires at her. A plastic bullet bounces off her clothes and rolls away, and Shinobu smiles, saying that HIS gun is only a CHEAP toy. Nagisa is relieved, to say the least. :p

in the elevator - 226K
Mitsuru tells Kazuya that Shinobu would never get his own hands dirty (in answer to Kazuya asking Shinobu why he didn't just rescue Reina himself) and Shinobu agrees, adding that they solved things by themselves anyway. Mitsuru, looking peeved, tells Shinobu that he owes him, to which Shinobu replies: "I owe you for now." o_o

Mitsuru notes that Nagisa has a profile on Shinobu as well.

Junigatsu umare AB gata... - 733K
This sound file doesn't have Mitsuru or Shinobu's voices in it either, but it's a sound file of Kazuya reading Nagisa's profile on Shinobu, which is why I put this sound file here. Since I put all of Nagisa's information into my character profile of Shinobu, I won't bother to translate this sound. :p While Kazuya reads the profile, he notices that it starts to go from professional-sounding to extremely subjective. At that point, Nagisa takes over the narration of Shinobu's profile, and gets a bit carried away. :p

"Ichigatsu umare A gata..." - 1.80MB
After the reading of Shinobu's profile, Shinobu says: "That's her, alright." Kazuya then goes into bitch-mode, as usual, :p over how Mitsuru, Shinobu, and Shun have "the weirdest siblings." Mitsuru comments that someone as eccentric as Nagisa is hard to find, and Shinobu adds that that's about as normal as she gets. Shun then pipes up, saying that his family is normal. o_o Kazuya starts to rant again, but Mitsuru picks up a paper and starts reading Kazuya's profile; after the usual zodiac sign and blood type information, the profile becomes increasingly detailed and insulting, and we see that Mitsuru is reading a blank piece of paper. :p Kazuya finally asks him if that's really what the profile says, and Mitsuru crumples up the piece of paper and throws it, telling him to catch it. ^__^
