Sounds from OAV Episode 6
As I mentioned on the previous page, all .wav files at Echoes are created by myself, Ganymede (James Sanghyun Han), and you MUST e-mail me and ASK MY PERMISSION first before using any on your own websites or sound archives. I will then reply and tell you exactly what .wavs you may take and what .wavs you may not (98% are take-able). :)
P.S. If you have trouble downloading the larger .wav's even after repeated tries or if they do not play properly on your computer, let me know.
And now, on with the sounds! Using basic in/out cables, these sounds were recorded from the VCR onto a stereo and then onto my computer. They were transferred to my computer at the second highest quality on Macintosh's SimpleSound program, trimmed and edited using MoviePlayer, and then converted into .wav files using SoundApp. Unfortunately you will hear a buzzing noise in some of the quieter sound files depending on what speakers or headphones you are using, and since I have no compression capabilities these files are rather large in size, even the files that are only a few seconds long. For that I apologize, but the sound quality is worth it, and I do not have a program that can compress or "clean" the .wav files for me. If you know how I can make these files a lot smaller without reducing quality, do let me know.

WARNING - There are many spoilers here translating and explaining what is going on in the sounds.
P.S. Being an obsessive fan of Mitsuru and Shinobu, I went through all of Episode 6 and every time Shinobu and Mitsuru opened their mouths, I recorded what they said. :P Therefore, I am missing NO Mitsuru and Shinobu sounds from Episode 6 and I have recorded ALL their words. :P

Mitsuru and Shun talk about Shun spotting Igarashi Miya near Greenwood - Shun wonders if they should tell Kazuya about it, and Mitsuru thinks for a moment that maybe Miya came to see Kazuya, but he then takes it back, saying that he doesn't think Miya would leave Koizumi Tenma.
Mitsuru asks Kazuya if he's free for winter break, and when Kazuya says yes, Mitsuru offers him a job (actually, he tells Kazuya that he now has a job :P) at his home, the Kohryu Temple.
Mitsuru shouts out "Tadaima!" ("I'm home!") as he enters his house, and introduces Kazuya to his mother.
Mitsuru calls out to his little brother and introduces him to Kazuya, saying that his name is Masato but that he's called "Sho." Mitsuru's grandfather then passes by with an old shoji (you know, those sliding Japanese paper doors :P) and Mitsuru asks if he can smash it. His grandfather says yes, and Mitsuru proceeds to make a lot of noise as he punches out each paper panel - which causes Masato to ask if he has to do that EVERY year. ^.^
Mitsuru says his father teaches at a Buddhist college, and when Kazuya asks about the temple, Masato says that Mitsuru will inherit it, being the firstborn son.
Kazuya asks if Mitsuru will "really become a monk" (*ROFL* yeah, RIGHT, Mitsuru as a monk ^.^), to which Mitsuru replies "Who knows."
Mitsuru talks to Kazuya about the changes in the temple over the years, and then gets into his own past as an orphan baby left on the Ikedas' temple grounds.
This is really a "part 2" that goes with the previous .wav file. They were divided into two parts because I cut out a little flashback of Mitsuru's mother talking that was in between the two parts. But anyway, in this part Mitsuru talks about how he's glad his parents didn't hide the fact that he was adopted, and that his family was so affectionate that he could never have become a problem child. When Kazuya then asks why he lives in the dorm, Mitsuru says that he wanted to get used to the feeling of being alone as soon as possible. Masato hears this and angrily barges in on the conversation, asking Mitsuru why he's so intent on making himself a stranger; Mitsuru replies that he IS a stranger, which causes Masato to run off. Kazuya tells Mitsuru he was harsh, but Mitsuru says "the truth is the truth" and after a pause he asks, "Strangers can't be close as real brothers, can they?"
On the way to the train station, Kazuya says that it's not blood relations that matter, it's love. Mitsuru does the funniest O.O face at that sappy statement :P and asks Kazuya if he's still thinking about Miya; he then tells Kazuya to give up before he gets hurt more.
Mitsuru and Kazuya run into Miya and Tenma, and Tenma tells Miya to apologize to Mitsuru for the trouble she caused. After Miya apologizes, Tenma notices Kazuya and asks Mitsuru who he is, to which Mitsuru replies that he's the dorm president and any apologies should go to him.
This is supposed to be a serious scene, but I find it funny. Mitsuru keeps answering Tenma's little superficial/polite phrases with rather noncommittal "uh" noises - it's so obvious Mitsuru has nothing to say and is ready to leave. ^.^
Oh my, another serious scene I find amusing - Mitsuru is buying Kazuya a train ticket, but when he turns around, Kazuya's nose is bleeding. Mitsuru's oh-so-funny Japanglish response to that is: "...hora, tissue tissue!" *ROFL* Gotta love it. Anyway, Kazuya talks while he's staunching the bleeding (with a tissue :p) and burrows into Mitsuru's body for comfort; Mitsuru looks rather surprised but hugs him nonetheless. ^.^; Mitsuru then thinks up a plan as he holds Kazuya and listens to him talk.
Another LONG .wav file. This file is of the entire "rainy day café scene" with Hasukawa Kazuhiro-sensei, Shinobu, Mitsuru, and Shun. The file actually starts off with the end of the scene before the café scene, cause the sound of Kazuhiro gulping really loudly before it switches to the café scene was too funny to not include. ^^;;; Anyway, the foursome in the café are discussing Kazuya's love problem/situation with Miya - I could give details of the conversation, but that would make for an overly lengthy read, and there are enough spoilers here anyway. ^^;
Mitsuru tells the other Greenwood guys that Kazuya was supposed to arrive that day when they hear someone running down the hall.
Kazuya asks Mitsuru for Miya's address, and when Shun asks if he's intending to write a love letter, it's obvious that Kazuya didn't think of that. Mitsuru asks him if he was planning to just go straight to Miya's house.
Shinobu says that although he understands how Kazuya feels, it's rude to just show up at someone's house; he suggests that Kazuya meet Miya at her school instead.
Mitsuru tells Shun about Tenma, and after Shun realizes how close Tenma is to Miya, he rhetorically asks about Kazuya's chances with Miya. Shinobu interjects, saying that Kazuya's chances are about zero, but that he's so hung up on her that he has to be allowed to do what he wants.
Kazuya waits for Miya in front of her school; Shun and Mitsuru wait at a distance behind the corner and comment on how she's not there. The next day they're at the school again and they comment on how Miya's not there again. :p
The third day, Shun asks Mitsuru if he was able to reach Miya by phone, but Mitsuru says that no matter how many times he calls no one answers. Shun then comments that Kazuya can't keep missing sixth period to come and try to catch Miya at school, and Mitsuru comments that Shun is cutting class too, to which Shun points out that Mitsuru is as well. ^.^ They're all such rebels. :p
Mitsuru literally whisks Kazuya away from the questioning woman from Miya's school and whispers: "Abune..." ("That was close...") ^^;;;
Mitsuru comes in and announces that he knows what hospital Miya is in; he then tells Kazuya that they'll go see her there tomorrow.
After learning that Miya was discharged from the hospital the day before, a bigarse wind blows o.O and Mitsuru comments that he forgot how bad Kazuya's luck is with women.
A short file of Mitsuru and Shun gasping when Tenma shows up to confront Kazuya.
